Senior Years Update
It has been wonderful to formally welcome students back into our classes this week, although most of our students have been here during the holiday period completing their practice examinations. Many students have begun their formal oral examinations for their VCE subjects, and these continue in the coming weeks. We wish them the very best of luck during these tasks and thank our dedicated staff for their guidance and support during this period.
Year 11
Y11 students are continuing to prepare for ‘life beyond the gates’ and have been busily engaging in the numerous celebration and reflection opportunities this term including the wonderful Remembering Shelford event and working on final artworks for the Art projection evening. In wellbeing students have created a study planner to manage the demands of their upcoming Unit 2 examinations with their Unit 4 subject revision and they have also been putting the finishing touches on their resumes, interview question answers and LinkedIn profiles, including having their headshots done.
Year 12
Y12 students have finished their final practice examinations and are turning their focus to identifying areas that require attention before the formal VCAA written examination period. They are also busily rehearsing and planning for their final celebration days. These days began last week and included a series of themed dress ups and lunchtime activities. We look forward to the culmination of these events - their formal Valedictory Assembly.
The Y12 students were also treated last week to a wonderful legacy gift from the Y6 students. The students had created individual house colour bags to share with each Y12 student. We greatly thank the Y6 students and staff for this wonderful initiative.
It has provided such as positive impact on our girls, who were quite humbled to have been thought of with such care. Yet another example of the wonderful Shelford community. Thank you once again Y6. We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2024 this week and wish them all the very best for their examination period.
