Message from Mr. Lehane

Hello Everyone,

We’re already closing in on the halfway mark of our final term—it’s a busy and exciting time for everyone! As always, please make sure to check the Important Dates section in our fortnightly newsletters to stay updated on all our upcoming events and activities.

Thank you for your continued support!

Curriculum/Pupil Free Day

The School Council approved a Curriculum Day on Wednesday 13th November. Teachers will be using this time for Reporting and Planning for 2025.  There will be No School for Students on this day.

Melbourne Cup

As we are located in the Loddon Shire and not the City of Greater Bendigo we will celebrate Melbourne Cup as an annual public holiday. This will be a pupil free day on the 5th of November.

Snakes

As the weather warms up this term it is important that we are on the lookout for snakes around the school. We will continue to talk to the students about snake safety and encourage them to play in safe areas of the yard, we would appreciate parents reinforce this messages to students and families.

River Swimming

Our River Swimming sessions are just a few weeks away! We’ll be sending home permission forms in the next week or so, so please keep an eye out. This is a great opportunity for our students, and we look forward to a safe and fun experience by the river!  If anyone has their own wetsuit, they are encouraged to wear it as Deb has limited supply and sizes.

Open Day

Our Open Day/Community BBQ is next Friday night (8th November). We look forward to seeing as many of our families as possible and also welcoming in people from the community.

For more information please keep your eye out for the flyer!

Playgroup

We have now had three sessions of Playgroup and are thrilled to have had 6 different families join us over the weeks. Please encourage any families with children under school age to come along and visit as it is a great way to make connection's with other local families.

I would also like to thank Kerryn and Kate for their continued work in organising this awesome program.

Foundation Transition

Our transition program for 2025 Foundation students started today! Welcome Albert and Patrick. you both fitted in beautifully and we are all looking forward to having you with us next year.

Transition sessions will continue to run from 9.00am -11.45am on Friday 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th November.

The conclusion to our Transition Program will be on the Statewide Transition Day on December 10th.
