From the Year 4 Classroom

We hope you all enjoyed the extra-long weekend with family and/or friends. It's hard to believe we’re heading into Week 6 next week! Being a short week, the students have been doing some end-of-year assessments in Reading, Maths, Well-Being and Spelling. The Year 4 students are currently working on a narrative piece of writing which will soon be ready for publishing. In Maths, they’ve been focusing on Fractions, Decimals and Shapes.

Some dates for the diary and details about some upcoming events are outlined below.

 

Yr 4 Excursion- Glenrowan

Our Year 4 students will travel to Glenrowan in Week 7 on Tuesday November 19th. We will depart school at 8.45am sharp so please arrive at school at 8.30am. We will visit the animatronic show at Kellyland, the Ned Kelly Museum, Kelly Battlefield and the Discovery Centre. The students will be enhancing their learning in our Inquiry Unit "Celebrations from the Past". They will travel by coach and return at 2.45pm. Full school uniform including hat, recess, lunch and water bottle are required. Please complete the permission form via PAM. Thank you to those that have already done so.

 

Yr 3 and Yr 4 Cricket Blast Carnival

The students in Year 3/4 will be participating in a Cricket Blast School Cup Carnival on the afternoon of Monday 18th November, in Week 7, between 1.45pm and 3pm.

The venue will be the Vic Park Cricket grounds. The Year 3/4 staff will be accompanying the children during the afternoon session. They will have an early lunch and leave the school grounds at 1.30pm, walking to Vic Park. Lunch Orders from the Canteen are still available.
