What's On In 3/4

Bee Incursion

Our Level 3/4 students were just ‘BUZZING’ to learn all about bees in our ‘Friends with Honey’ incursion! This was the perfect way to finish our Term 3 Integrated Studies unit about Sustainability and allowed us to take our learning into the real world. We impressed our presenter with our existing knowledge that we’d learnt, and our inquisitive questions that further developed our understanding. A highlight was tasting different types of honey and learning how to communicate through dance - just like bees!

Footy Day

What fun we had on Footy Day! Our students loved showing support for their favourite team by dressing in their team colours. We were so lucky to have representatives from a local Football Club come to our school to help us develop our own footy skills - and have lots of fun while doing it!

Hot Dog Lunch

How lucky we were to finish Term 3 with a special hot dog lunch! It is always lovely to eat together as a class community, and this was the perfect way to celebrate and send off the term. Thank you to the wonderful parent helpers who helped to cook and deliver our yummy food!

S.A.K.G.

It was truly delightful to return from the holidays and find that our school vegetable garden had thrived—weeds and all! With Ashley’s guidance, the students were excited to jump back into their garden groups, tending to the chickens, managing the compost, planting seedlings and seeds, and, of course, tackling the weeding. Their enthusiasm for the garden is inspiring, and we can’t wait to see what we grow together this season!

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Deb is inspiring the kids to whip up some amazing dishes. As one table group explores the seasonal herbs in the garden—folding tea towels and preparing the dining area—the four cooking teams are truly showcasing their culinary talents with delicious Asian fried rice and vibrant coleslaw. The energy is infectious, and their creativity is evident in every bite!
