What's On In 5/6

KITCHEN GARDEN

Our Grade 5/6 students have been digging into our Kitchen Garden Program with enthusiasm! From planting seasonal veggies to harvesting fresh herbs, they are learning valuable lessons about sustainability, healthy eating, and teamwork. SAKG provides hands-on experience in the garden and the kitchen, where students turn their homegrown produce into delicious meals. It’s a fantastic way for them to connect with nature while developing important life skills.

SOLAR BOATS

It was amazing to see the community come together to support our students on Solar Boats Race Day! Our teams worked hard throughout the term, showing incredible determination and resilience despite the challenging weather conditions on the day. A huge congratulations to the teams that made it to the next round—we're so proud of their efforts and can't wait to see what they achieve next!

LITERATURE CIRCLES

The 5/6s took charge of their learning during Literature Circles, diving deeper into the world of literacy. With each book, they explored new themes, characters, and ideas, sparking thoughtful discussions within their groups. These sessions encouraged collaboration, critical thinking, and a greater appreciation for the rich experiences books can offer.
