Year 5 Spotlight

Anglesea Camp

Year 5 students spent the final days of last term at Anglesea Camp. This two-night getaway is a real highlight of the year. Below are some thoughts about the experience as well as some photos!

 

  • Camp was exciting. Some of the activities we did were giant swing, bush cooking and canoeing. We learnt we should challenge ourselves to try new things. Now we know that lots of things in life involve teamwork. ~ Stella and Poppy
  • I went to the tippy top of the giant swing and then I flew down. ~ Erin
  • I loved the bush cooking because the damper was really yummy. ~ Amelia
  • I was very scared to go canoeing but I went on anyway and it was really fun. ~ Paige
  • Crate climbing was really fun! I got to 9 crates! ~ Cecilia
  • I really enjoyed crate climbing. I kept falling but I got up and kept trying. I also enjoyed the giant swing. It felt really scary and really high. But when you pulled on the rope it was really fun and I had a great time. ~ Penny V 
  • I really liked the Radio Rogaine. It was fun using walkie talkies and exploring the camp. I also loved crate climbing because it kept wobbling and you didn’t know if you were going to fall. ~ Lucia
  • I really liked the giant swing. It was scary for a second and then it got fun! ~ Leni
  • Radio Rogaine was really fun and I loved the environment chasey too, but the giant swing was my favourite. ~ Xavier
  • The Gaga Pit was really fun! ~ Sachin

  • Camp was really fun. We did loads of activities like cooking damper and canoeing. In the Radio Rogaine we learnt skills like reading maps and teamwork. ~ Freya and Lola
