Welcome to term 4 families! We are starting this term by doing our class play: King Crosspatch. It tells the story of a King who is all mixed up and calls on the four operations (subtraction, addition, division and multiplication) to take it in turns to help him sort out his affairs.
The children are right into it and very excited. They love the theatrics and are definitely enjoying being different characters and acting so to speak. We will keep rehearsing the play until we will put it on to immediate family only on Thursday 31st October at 9.15am in the Chelsea's room.
In maths we have been doing data collecting and gathering. The kids had fun last week sitting on the street counting car colours and types. We then turned our information into a graph. We are now exploring time and developing our concepts of how long things take.
The knitting is continuing, and they are quickly getting the hang of it, which is a delight.
Don’t forget its term 4 which means hats are needed to run around in the sun!
