Gardening
This term in gardening we have been soaking up the warmer weather and preparing our garden beds for Summer crops.
We have planted seeds of beans, pumpkins, cucumbers and zucchini, and added compost to the beds.
We participated in the Great Aussie Bird Count and spotted nine species of birds at school and the park.
Students did a sound mapping experience where we tuned into the sounds of (urban) nature and mapped them in relation to ourselves.
We made scented herb bags using dried lavender and rosemary.
At the Summer Sessions we set up a plant stall of plants and produce that students have propagated during gardening.
