Multiage Class
This term Multi-Age have been learning about money. We have investigated different forms of currency and looked at money from Europe, the UK, Japan, America, Malaysia, and Singapore. It has been a lot of fun comparing the different coins and notes to the ones we use in Australia.
Connor did a fantastic job sorting coins into their matching piggy banks.
On Wednesday we were practicing writing prices and the students came up with their own shops. They chose what they wanted to sell and decided on the prices.
Noor said ‘It was really fun making our own shops and it felt like we were making our own business.’
We also set up a shop in the Multi-Age classroom and students loved taking turns being the customer and the shopkeeper. They had a chance to practice reading prices, adding up totals, and calculating change.
