Celebrate!
We are very pleased to announce that the Trivia Night event last term raised $7085 for the school. Thank you once again to all those who supported the night through business sponsorship, helping out in the planning or running of the night, and by coming along and joining in. The monies raised from the night will be used to support the specialist learning programs at Brunswick North West Primary School, including the productive garden, chicken care, science and arts programs.
Connect!
Join the Community Events Team (CET) in 2025!
The CET is looking ahead to building a great team for 2025; and we’d love you to consider joining us!
Whether you’re great at planning, admin, tasks, or have just a little extra time, there’s a role for everyone. No heavy burdens for anyone! We share the work, and the more hands, the lighter the load, we are committed to a sustainable practice for all involved. Plus, we’re flexible—you only need to help out where you can. Please note that the Magic Market is not an event run by the Community Events Team - as our major fundraising event of the year, the Magic Market requires a separate team to run (and thank you to all the hard work being done towards a fabulous market this week) which is overseen by School Council, not the CET.
We’re especially excited to continue welcoming more Dads and Male-Identifying Carers to the team. After the success of our first dad joining the TEAM this year, we’d love to keep improving the gender balance and grow our community with diversity and inclusivity.
And- if you’re new to BNWPS or have a younger child, now’s the perfect time to get involved!
So, on that note, we’ve got some exciting news!
We will be hosting an Open Meeting online, on Monday, 28 October from 7.30pm, and you’re invited!
Pop the date in your diary and join us at our remote ‘regular meeting’ to see how we operate in terms of planning, actioning and debriefing our community events for BNWPS. Whether you’re curious about joining for the full year in 2025 or just helping out with specific events, this is a great chance to:
A) witness how we run things, and
B) ask any questions.
Meetings are run with friendly efficiency, lasting about an hour, and you’re welcome to simply observe to see if it’s the right fit for you. Zoom details here:
