Education in Faith

Education in Faith encompasses the following areas: Religious Education, Prayer, Liturgy and Sacraments.

In choosing the motto 'Pilgrims of Hope' for the Jubilee, Pope Francis noted that 'We must fan the flame of hope that has been given to us and help everyone to gain new strength and certainty by looking to the future with an open spirit, a trusting heart and far-sighted vision.

Celebrating Jubilee

The Jubilee 2025 is a special holy year in Rome and the Vatican City, and across Italy and the world,  it began on Christmas eve 2024 and ending on the 6th of January (Epiphany) 2026. A Jubilee year is a time for celebration, it sees millions of pilgrims visiting Rome seeking spiritual renewal and a stronger connection to their faith

Celebrating Whole School Mass:

As a catholic school community, we will be celebrating mass on Friday the 7th of February at 9.15am.  We gather together as a whole school community to acknowledge the beginning of 2025.  We invite all parents, grandparents and carers to join us as we celebrate this special event.

Buddy Mass:

Our Year 6/Foundation Buddy Mass will take place on Sunday 2nd of March at 11.00am at St Fidelis' church. This is a great opportunity for our new and existing Foundation families to come together and celebrate the beginning of your children’s learning journey.  It is also a great opportunity for Foundation parents to meet your child's Year 6 buddy.

Reconciliation

Our Year 3 children will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This Sacrament of Reconciliation, also known as the Sacrament of Confession, is a Sacrament instituted by Jesus in his love and mercy, to offer forgiveness for the times we have made poor choices and have turned away from Jesus.  The Year 3 children, parents and carers will engage in an online workshop on Thursday 6th of March at 7.00pm. This event will be facilitated by Maria Forde.

Reconciliation celebration:

The Reconciliation celebration will take place on Thursday the 20th of March at 6.00pm at St Fidelis' Church.

God bless and have a great week.
