Newsletter Article for First Edition for 2025

Dear School Community,

As we embark on a new school year, we would like to extend a heartfelt welcome back to all our returning staff and students, and a special greeting to our Kindergarten students and their families who are joining us for the very first time! We are thrilled to have you as part of our vibrant school community.

A warm welcome back to our dedicated staff members: Mrs Kelly Makeham, Mrs Debbie Wall, Mrs AJ Hunt, Miss Hannah Dunn, Mrs Beth Higgins, Mr Pete Mikulasev, Mr Aaron Scully and Ms Eileen Hackett. Your commitment and passion for education make a significant impact on our students' lives, and we are excited to see all the wonderful things you will accomplish this year.

We are also delighted to introduce Mrs Jennifer Grayling to our team. With her experience and motivation, she will be joining us for five days a fortnight, bringing fresh energy and insights to our school community. We know she will be a tremendous asset in supporting our students' growth and development.

Looking ahead to 2025, we will be focusing on enhancing our students' social skills while achieving our weekly literacy, numeracy, and Positive Behaviour for Learning goals. We believe that stepping out of our comfort zones is crucial for growth, and we will encourage our students to embrace challenges. It is through these experiences that optimal growth occurs. We know from research that working together – school and home- creates the best environment for our students to thrive.

When we engage in tasks that don’t challenge us, we risk becoming bored and unstimulated, hindering our ability to grow and develop new neurological pathways. Therefore, we are committed to fostering a mindset that embraces discovery, innovation, and a positive attitude towards learning, growth and development.

We encourage all families to be involved in school life. Whether it’s volunteering for events, joining the P&C, or simply attending school functions, your participation makes a difference.

Please stay connected with us through our newsletters, school website, and social media channels or simply contact the school.

Let’s make 2025 a year where we thrive together! We look forward to working collaboratively with our students, staff, and families to create an enriching learning environment that inspires curiosity and a hunger for personal growth and development.

Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

Warm regards,
