Applying for a Tax File Number (TFN)

Any student will need a tax file number if he/she starts work (casual, part-time, and full-time) and all students planning on a tertiary education require one when they start, so it is worthwhile getting an application submitted early.

Finally, I encourage all families and students to contact me at any time via email MMascaro@oakleighgrammar.vic.edu.au, phone 9569 6128 or drop in :-)

The Careers Office is Open Monday – Thursday 8:20am – 4:00pm. Drop ins are welcome before school, recess, lunchtime, after school and when students have study periods. In addition, families can book in appointments with me via the following link Make a booking

I look forward to working with all students supporting them to navigate their Career Development journeys this 2025 school year.

Moreover, on Wednesday 18 February 2025 our Year 10 students commenced their Senior School Career Development Journey by partaking in a Career Discovery Day.

The day commenced with them completing their Morrisby Profile that identifies their aptitudes, interests and personality which in turn provides them with Career, Course and VCE subject suggestions.

After a light luncheon provided, the Year 10 cohort were very fortunate to have Tyson Day from Arrive & Thrive present a Career Design and Values workshop which explored the process of designing your career, followed by the Applying for work workshop where students learned what they need to thrive in their first job such as creating a good resume, the importance of the perfect pitch, personal branding, and a good digital footprint. A jam-packed day which provided our students with a great starting point for their Career Discovery!
