Term 1 promises a range of enriching learning experiences and events for all. Last Monday, we welcomed 448 Year 7 students, beginning their secondary educational journey with us. We got to meet new students in Years 8 to 12 and welcomed them back returning. It was heartwarming to see new friendships being made, and older friendships being reignited.
Last Friday saw over 2500 students and 300 staff get together as a College community at the Notre Dame Campus. We enjoyed the Welcome to Country with Wurundjeri, Boon Wurrung, Yorta Yorta man, Uncle Shane Charles, an inspiring Mass led by Father Binh and uplifting prayers read by staff and students. This was a great opportunity to welcome this year’s Student Leaders and new staff. Thank you to Father Binh for his time, and for everyone that was involved in making it a memorable start to the year.
Year 7s will be heading off on school camp in the coming weeks, at Portsea or Mount Evelyn which is a great way for students and staff to get to know each other and enjoy outdoor and adventurous activities together.
Open Evening and College Experience – Registrations are open for the Open Evenings and College Experiences that will be held at each campus throughout the year. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear from our College Principal, Dr. Janine Biggin, learn about our curriculum, meet our dedicated teaching staff, participate in engaging interactive activities, and enjoy a guided tour led by our student ambassadors.
