Welcome to the 2025 school year, our 70th Year.

There was great excitement on the first day for Year 7s and their first secondary school photos. Then we welcomed back the Years 8-12 with their photos and general preparation work for the year.
On Monday 3rd February classes recommenced, with the new SIMON platform showing us new possibilities for obtaining information and extending contact with staff, students and families. Our thanks to Dom Fera and the ICT team for their extended work in establishing this in the College.
The maintenance staff have worked through extreme weather to complete a revamping of the gardens, the completion of the new Student Services area and the new Learning Hub.
Now begin parent engagement opportunities with the Year Level Information Nights. Students are looking forward to getting to know their new teachers, new activities, excursions, the Swimming Sports and so much more.
We wish all of our families a wonderful, safe and blessed 2025.
Year 7 First Day
Last week we welcomed the newest members of our College community, our Year 7 students and their families!
The day was filled with lots of excitement, and we appreciated the opportunity to support our Year 7 students as they began their high school journey.
Starting a day earlier than the Year 8-12 students, this gave our Year 7 cohort a chance to reconnect with one another and explore the College grounds at a relaxed pace, without the usual hustle and bustle.
Year 7 Badge Ceremony
At the beginning of each school year, our Year 12 students welcome the newest members of our College community, the Year 7s.
During this special time, they connect, share stories, offer helpful advice, and provide support to ease the transition and calm any first-day nerves.
The Year 12s also have the honour of presenting and pinning the College badge on the Year 7s, officially marking the start of their high school journey with us.
Year 9 Student Committee Leader Ceremony
Our Year 9 cohort came together during the Homeroom period to celebrate our new Year 9 Student Committee Leaders.
Opening Assembly
On our official first day of school, the whole school gathered for the first time, to acknowledge and congratulate our High Achievers of 2024.
We had the honour of hearing from our DUX, Julie, and our VCE VM Top Student, Chelsea.
They spoke of their hopes for the future, their time at Killester and their thanks to everyone who had supported them through the school journey. They also shared their words of wisdom with our Class of 2025.
