Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,
Term one is progressing really well an it is hard to believe we're already four weeks into the school year! In this brief time, we've witnessed some notable successes in student achievements throughout the school. A special acknowledgment goes out to all students who recently completed their PAT testing, contributing valuable data that will greatly benefit our school. Additionally, our senior school students have had the opportunity to engage in study skill workshops provided by Elevate. These workshops are particularly crucial as our senior students navigate their final years of secondary education. It's a chance for them to hone essential skills that will serve them well in their academic journey.
Yesterday we held our Swimming Sports Carnival down at the Red Cliffs Swimming Pool. It was fantastic to see so many students join in, compete, and encourage their teammates throughout the day. In what was perfect conditions for a swimming carnival, I thank all students and the many staff that organised this event. A big congratulations to Terragong who were the winning house in 2025.
On Wednesday, 26th February at 2:10pm, Red Cliffs Secondary College will host our Annual Investiture Ceremony. The ceremony is a special occasion to acknowledge those in various school leadership positions, recognising the importance of their role within our school. Our Year 12 students, College Captains, House Captains, School Ambassadors and SRC representatives will be presented with badges to acknowledge their leadership within the school. Parents are welcome to attend however please notify our front office staff if you wish to attend so seating can be arranged.
I’d like to take thank all students, parents, guardians and extended families who attended last weeks Year 7 Welcome BBQ. It was a fantastic turnout despite the extreme heat. Your dedication to building strong connections truly reflects the culture of resilience, compassion, citizenship and success that we aim to foster at Red Cliffs Secondary College. Evenings like this would not be possible without the support from the community and the dedicated staff at Red Cliffs Secondary College for organising the event, welcoming our new students and families to our school.
In closing, I would to again thank all students, parents and community members for supporting our school. We look forward to continuing to build upon the great momentum as we move into the second half of Term 1.
Mr. Brad Vallance
Assistant Principal
