PRINCIPAL UPDATE

It was great for parents to have an opportunity to meet teachers over the past two weeks in the ‘Meet and Greets’.  We hope those in attendance found this a valuable experience.  Following on from valuable feedback last year from parents that participated in the parent forums at the School Review, we will be introducing Parent Teacher Interviews early in term 2.  This will give parents an opportunity to hear how their child is going prior to school reports being distributed in July.

Information was shared by Jacquie Clancy earlier last week in regard to School Council nominations.  If wanting further information regarding this, feel free to approach Sarah Jeffreys or myself for a chat. School Council meets on the third Monday of each month.

Grade 6 students were lucky enough to undertake a secondary school experience at Geelong High last week.  They undertook a Technology and Art lesson and got to see the school in action.  We thank Geelong High for arranging these experiences for our students and appreciated the partnership that has formed over the last couple of years.  We look forward to the many more opportunities that they are offering us this year, including the popular rocket launch, and days undertaking specialist subjects at their school.  All Grade 4, 5 and 6 students will have the opportunity to participate throughout the year.

Congratulations again to all Grade 6 students who received their badges last week at Assembly.  All students are engaged in a committee, and we look forward to seeing and hearing all about the work they will do this year.

Junior School Council commenced last week and congratulations again to members selected for 2025. Hazel, Maggie, Leila, Charlie R, Jayden , Archie, Scarlett, and George will join the School Captains on this committee.  Their very first task is to make some promotional videos for the fair.  Head to our website to see their profiles that have been uploaded.

Don’t forget to read the Fair section of this newsletter to access key information needed by all.

Have a great week all.

Kind regards,

Meg
