Students in Year 12 Biology have been exploring non-infectious diseases that impact the human body including conditions affecting the eye, ear and kidney structures. To enhance their understanding of eye anatomy and its connection to vision disorders, students recently participated in an eye dissection. This practical challenged students to accurately cut open an eye, allowing them to identify key components and better comprehend how various structures contribute to vision.
A special thank you goes to Bindaree Beef for their generous donation of the eyes used in this activity. The students can't wait for when they get to dissect a cow's kidney as well!
