NAIDOC CELEBRATIONS

NAIDOC Week Begins at Inverell High
Monday morning we proudly held our Flag Raising Ceremony to mark the beginning of NAIDOC Week celebrations at Inverell High School.
The ceremony was a meaningful moment of reflection and respect, acknowledging the enduring culture, strength, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We were honoured to have Warwick and Robert lead the ceremony—speaking thoughtfully about the importance of NAIDOC Week and Cooper also played the didgeridoo, adding a powerful cultural presence to the event.
Reconciliation and NAIDOC Assembly
On Thursday, Inverell High School's Clontarf Academy and Stars Foundation proudly hosted our Reconciliation and NAIDOC Awards Assembly.
The event recognised students and staff for their ongoing commitment to fostering a strong, inclusive school community.
Following the assembly, parents, carers, and local Elders joined students and staff for a shared morning tea—an opportunity to reflect, connect, and celebrate culture together.
Student performed an amazing and moving welcome dance. Thank you to Mrs Alexander for her choreography. Click the link below to view the performance.
