FROM THE PRINCIPAL

As we near the end of what has been a significant and rewarding term, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the many achievements and activities that have taken place across Inverell High School.
This term we were honoured to welcome the Secretary of Education and his Executive Leadership Team to our school. Their visit provided an opportunity to showcase the exceptional work of our staff and students and highlight the unique strengths of our school community.
Students have truly embraced the values of being well-rounded individuals—demonstrating commitment not only to their academic studies but also to sport, culture, and community involvement. Our representative sports teams have been busy, with many students proudly wearing the school colours across a range of events. A special mention to our Northwest Squash Team, comprising three talented students from Inverell High, Noah Pay, Nicholas Alliston and Thomas Putter, who hit the courts and represented our region with pride.
In addition to participating, several of our students have also given back by supporting sporting events at other schools—refereeing rugby league and netball games and assisting Ross Hill Public School with their athletics carnival. Their willingness to volunteer their time reflects the leadership, responsibility and community spirit we aim to foster at Inverell High.
Jack Partridge Representing NSW at Australian Rugby League Carnival
We are proud to announce that Jack Partridge will be representing both New South Wales and Inverell High School at the upcoming Australian Rugby League Carnival in Townsville.
This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to Jack’s dedication, talent, and hard work on and off the field. Being selected to play at this level is an honour few achieve, and Jack has demonstrated the skill and determination required to reach this elite stage.
The entire school community joins in wishing Jack the very best as he competes in Townsville. We know he will represent our school and state with pride and sportsmanship.
Go well, Jack—we are all cheering for you!
Stars and Clontarf Lead NAIDOC Celebrations with Local Schools
As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations, students from the Stars Foundation and Clontarf Academy have proudly stepped up to lead cultural engagement activities across our community.
On Tuesday, a group of students travelled to Gum Flat Public School, where they ran a vibrant and inclusive program of cultural dances, traditional games, and storytelling activities. Their efforts were warmly received by the students and staff, with all participants fully engaged and enthusiastic throughout the day.
These activities not only celebrated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture but also demonstrated the leadership, pride, and generosity of our Stars and Clontarf students. Their ability to connect with younger children and share their cultural knowledge is a testament to their growth and the strength of these programs at Inverell High School.
Both groups will continue supporting preschools and local primary schools throughout the week, further strengthening cultural understanding and community ties. Well done to all involved for being outstanding role models and ambassadors for NAIDOC Week.
Congratulations Hallie
At our recent Academic Awards Assembly, Hallie Youman was recognised for receiving the Acacia Program Scholarship from the Public Education Foundation, which includes a $3,000 bursary.
Although Hallie wasn’t able to attend the official ceremony in Sydney, we were proud to acknowledge her achievement at school. This honour is a testament to her hard work and dedication—well done, Hallie

Jack’s talent and dedication have also earned him a 3-Year Development Academy contract with the Dolphins — an outstanding achievement and exciting step forward in his rugby league journey.
Well done, Jack!
Thank you to all students, staff, and families for a successful term. I look forward to what next term will bring.
