Smoking Ceremony

Last Tuesday, we welcomed  local Aboriginal Elder, Perry Wandin to CNPS for a special Cleansing and Smoking Ceremony. This important cultural event served as a time of reflection and closure as we prepare to farewell our old school buildings in readiness for the building upgrades. The Smoking Ceremony is a traditional Aboriginal practice that involves the burning of native plants to cleanse the space, promote healing, and acknowledge the significance of what has come before.

It was an important opportunity for our community to reflect on the history of our school and show respect for the land and its Traditional Custodians.
