Middle School News

As Term 2 comes to a close, we use this opportunity to reflect on what has been an incredible, hardworking, yet long term for our Middle School students. We wish everyone a safe, restfull and joyful break as we recharge for what is ought to be an EVEN BETTER Semester 2. We have a lot to look forward to including: First Eucharist, Year 3 camp, Year 4 camp, IMAX excursion, Science Week, Seussical production and so much more!

TEAM WORK

This term, the middle team have provided the students with countless opportunities to enhance their teamwork skills. This has been through Respectful Relationships, Green Hats, Collaborative artwork and much more.

SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS

It's hard to keep count of all of the wonderful achievements that have been made out of the classroom. We have had students represent the district in sports including but not limited to; Diving, Cross Country, Atheletics and Swimming. It also wouldn't be possible to miss the wonderful basketball and netball achievements so many of our students were apart of this term. Additionally, dancing and gymnastics remains a strong interest for many of our students.

LEADERSHIP

We feel so lucky to work with such a beautiful group of students who consistently display leadership. This is a skill that our children will continue to display as they venture through life, and a skill they should be immensely proud of.

NAIDOC WEEK

Our Middle School marked NAIDOC Week this week through our Knowledge Rich Curriculum, learning about Customary Laws, and through Topic, where we learned about January 26 and the diverse views around this date. The students were extrememly respectful of each others viewpoints as well as acknolwedging the opposing views. We alos did a collaborative artwork in class to commemorate this important week.

HARDWORK

Despite an extremely long term, the students have not taken their foot off the pedal at all! They have shown incredible perseverance toward their learning

LSO Appreciation

We are so incredibly grateful to all of the wonderful Learning Support Officers who support our Middle School students. Without their invaluable support, knowledge and presence, our classrooms would not operate as seemlessly as they do, so thank you.

THE FEAST OF THE SACRED HEART

What a beautiful celebration we had to commemorate The Feast of The Sacred Heart. We made beautiful artwork, thanks to our incredible Miss Porter, which can be seen in the corridor.

It was so wonderful celebrating this special day with the rest of the school community through a range of rotations on the school yard and a beautiful School Mass.
