What's happening in Term 2

Library Highlights Term 2

This term, our library has been buzzing with activity and vibrant displays! We’ve celebrated  Anzac Day and Mother’s Day, Reconciliation week and enjoyed Simultaneous Reading  featuring Tinka and Truck Cat.  Also introducing the Return Book Monster who likes to gobble returned books back to the shelves, helping to help keep our books organised. Monster helps maintain our motto “Read, Return, Repeat”.

Along with those displays, we have also had the library windows and displays being a world of colour and showcasing the core of reading apple. We were able to welcome potential new students to Karoo through engaging story time sessions.

The Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC) display continues to inspire readers, and Archie even earned his very own photo frame!

Stay tuned for Term 3 — we have plenty more exciting displays and activities coming your way. Keep an eye on the library windows for updates!

Premiers' Reading Challenge 2025

It’s not too late to sign up and start logging your reading! Join in and help your class win the prize!

COMPETITION IS HEATING UP

The reading numbers are soaring as students eagerly log their progress on the PRC website. What an incredible effort so far! A huge congratulations to everyone participating. It’s been wonderful to see not only the impressive number of books being read but also the thoughtful and creative reviews being shared.

Keep an eye on the PRC statistics board, which will soon be updated with the latest totals, including how many books have been read, which classes are in the lead, and which students are topping the charts. Will your name be up there after the holidays?

HOW MANY BOOKS HAVE BEEN READ?

The total will be updated every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on the library windows as well as the PRC board inside the library.    Keep an eye out to see if your class can take the lead! Keep logging!

Bring back your books Term 3

Reminder to bring back all your books next term.  Overdues are looking pretty good, but need to keep on track. Lots of books are out that others are waiting to borrow. Lets keep sharing our stories!  Notices will be sent home of overdues before we come back for

Term 3.

Have a wonderful break!
