Victoria's High-ability Program

Victoria's High-ability Program (VHAP) has once again invited Mackellar Primary School students to participate in their online program this term.  This term, grade 5 students; Katy,  Jamie and Samuel, will engage in the English course 'The Power of the Pen'.  

Weekly online lessons with students from other schools are facilitated by tutors from Virtual School Victoria. During English classes, students are challenged to use critical thinking skills as they analyse complex texts and collaborate with others in the process. During the course ‘Power of the Pen’, they will also consider a world without writing, examine the history of writing, and have the opportunity to extend their story writing skills.  During Mathematics lessons, our students explore patterns, alternative numeral systems and cryptography.
