Grade 1/2 Grant

Dear Families,

What a busy and rewarding Term Two we’ve had in Grade 1/2!

The students have continued to grow as learners, showing persistence, curiosity, and kindness each day. We are so proud of their efforts and the way they support one another in the classroom.

In Literacy, students have made great progress in their reading and writing through our InitiaLit and MiniLit programs. They’ve been learning to decode unfamiliar words, recognise high-frequency words, and develop their confidence in writing full sentences with punctuation and spelling strategies.

In Mathematics, we’ve explored number patterns, place value, addition and subtraction strategies. The students have enjoyed hands-on activities and using games to deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts through our Maths ‘Ochre’ program.

Today we had a lovely day enjoying our camp experience. The ‘Lilo and Stitch’ movie was very popular among everyone. We have a wonderful afternoon with art activities and fun activities with our Grade six leaders. We finished off the day with yummy pizzas and ice-cream for dessert. Once our tummies are full, we will be jumping into our PJ’s, cleaning our teeth and heading home to bed! Please remember 6pm pick up at school.

Thank you for all your support throughout the term. We wish you a safe, restful, and happy holiday break

Kind Regards

Liz, Michelle, Jenny, Mary and Raff.
