Message From Our Principal
Mrs Jackie Stockdale
As we wrap up Term 2, I want to take a moment to thank our entire school community for a wonderful term filled with learning, growth and connection.
This term has seen our students take part in a wide range of rich learning experiences, excursions, liturgies and special events — each one a reminder of the strong sense of community and care that exists here at St Patrick’s. We’ve also continued to make great progress in our learning and wellbeing goals, and it’s been a joy to see our students continue to grow in confidence and independence.
Thank you to our staff for their ongoing commitment and care, to our families for your continued support, and to our students for their enthusiasm, resilience and positivity.
Wishing you all a safe, restful and enjoyable break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 3 on Monday, July 21st.
This week we had the privilege of welcoming Bishop Shane Mackinlay to St Patrick’s for what will be his final school visit in the Sandhurst Diocese, as he prepares to take up his new role as the Archbishop of Brisbane. Bishop Shane spent time visiting classrooms, meeting with staff and students, and joining us in the church for a special singing celebration. It was a wonderful opportunity for our community to thank him for his leadership, guidance and support over the years. We wish Bishop Shane every blessing as he begins this exciting new chapter in his ministry.
Supporting Student Success: Classroom Mastery Launching in Term 3
At St Patrick’s Primary School, we are committed to providing every student with a positive, consistent, and supportive learning environment.
Starting Week 1 of Term 3, we will be implementing the Classroom Mastery program across all classrooms. This evidence-based approach helps create calm, well-managed learning spaces where students feel safe, respected, and ready to learn. It supports teachers in building strong classroom routines and clear expectations so that every child can thrive.
Classroom Mastery also aligns with the Magnify: Sandhurst Learning & Teaching Strategy – our diocese’s shared commitment to high-quality, inclusive, and faith-filled education. You can read more about this strategy here: Magnify Sandhurst

We’re excited to begin this journey with our students and families!
This week we held our very first Grade 5/6 Market Day, and it was a huge success! Our senior students worked hard to plan, create and run a variety of stalls as part of their Economics and Business unit. From handmade crafts and games to delicious treats, the creativity and teamwork on display was outstanding. The whole school community got involved, and it was wonderful to see students developing real-world skills like budgeting, marketing and customer service. Congratulations to all our Grade 5/6 students and Mrs Hill for their enthusiasm and effort!
Last week we had a team competed in the Campaspe Boys Football Carnival. The skill, ferociousness and teamwork on display was fantastic to watch. Our boys walked away with 3 wins, 2 losses – and plenty of moments that will no doubt be reenacted and retold (with a bit of extra mayo) for weeks to come. Big thanks to our coaches – Troy, Mop and Kizza – and to Blue for goal umpiring. All up, we had an awesome support crew who helped make sure the boys had a great day out. Thanks to everyone who played a part!
Last week, some of our staff came together to take part in Net Set Go. It was a fantastic community event, full of fun, teamwork and great sportsmanship. A big thank you to the Tongala Football-Netball Club for hosting the evening — it was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our local schools and celebrate the strong community spirit we share.
I am sure you would agree that this is why families should choose St Patrick's for their child's education:
