Celebrating Year 11 into Year 12 Headstart
It was impressive to see our Year 11 students step up into their Year 12 classes and embrace the expectations and mindsets required for final year success.
We are proud to recognise these four exceptional students - Donovan, Lucy, Kinston and Will - who have been nominated for early entry into our English Excellence Program.
These students show us what it means to Embrace Challenge and Achieve Excellence every day - a true reflection of our school motto.
ARTWAVE
On the 19th November, the school celebrated two major events: the Junior Instrumental Music Concert and the annual Artwave exhibition. Students, their families, and friends attended, enjoyed music from our junior school over in the performing arts area and then for Artwave we work exhibited for senior subjects such as art making and exhibiting, media, product, fashion, and visual communication and design, as well a gallery space dedicated to works from our very talented year 7 to 10 students.
The Junior Instrumental Music Concert, showcased our younger students’ musical talent, with families enjoying lively ensemble and solo performances in the performing arts area. Their dedication and enthusiasm set a wonderful tone for the night and made the event truly memorable.
Artwave was beautifully MC'ed by Nash and Gabriel and they were joined by two of our College Captains Riley and Lylah, who delivered speeches and presented awards. We were lucky to have our senior students perform some beautiful music for the night. These included musical trio Violet, Will, and Oleg play some wonderful music along with Holly playing some soothing solo acoustic and vocals.
A huge thank-you to all our students who displayed work and helped out to put these events on. And to our school community for always supporting these events. And lastly a big shout out to our Music, Arts & Technology staff who worked tirelessly to rehearse, curate the student's artwork, film, and designs to make nights like this memorable.
Year 7 Orientation Day
On the 9th & 10th December we had our Grade 6 to 7 Transition Program, and what an incredible start to welcoming this group to our amazing community.
This cohort truly embodied our values of Strive, Unite, Respect and Flourish from the moment they walked in. Our teachers have commented that they stood out as a group who were kind, confident, excited and willing to have a go at everything placed in front of them.
We are so proud of the way they supported one another, challenged themselves and embraced every opportunity. We can’t wait to welcome them back as our official Year 7s next year!
