The Mangbows and Edward entertain at the Fair
Our chamber ensemble, The Mangbows, performed for the first time as a group at the Fair. They played a varied program of 6 pieces with togetherness and energy. Edward (6P) and “some pianist he found on the way there” (lol – aka Dad!) entertained with music from “The Lion King”.

On Monday 24th Nov, Corelli Strings, performed in assembly. They played in canon in “Caterpillars Crawling” and gave an energetic rendition of “Chicken in the Kitchen.”
Amber (3J) and Finn (3J) introduced the pieces articulately and confidently.

The Orchestra will perform in assembly on Monday 1st December.
The Start Up Strings will perform in assembly on Monday 8th December.

Following visits to Year 1 by Year 6 string players, there has been a strong interest from Year 1 students to learn violin, cello or bass as part of the Start Up Strings class in 2026.
If your child is interested, but you haven’t yet registered their interest, please email the strings co-ordinator, margaret.butcher@education.vic.gov.au
