NSW Netball Schools Cup State Finals

The 6A Netball team capped off a spectacular season by competing in the NSW Schools Cup State Finals at Olympic Park's Netball Central. Only the elite teams who had already conquered the Regional and Metropolitan Championships qualified for this top-tier event.

Our team battled valiantly against the state's best, securing a strong pool win to finish 6th overall. A huge congratulations is also due to Alexia Coburn for her phenomenal performance throughout the day, earning her the distinguished title of Tournament MVP—a truly amazing feat against such high-level competition!

Clean Sweep in Touch Grand Finals!

Congratulations to our Senior teams Kambala 3 and 4 coached by Lara Clemson and Kirra McCarthy and the 7A team coached by Paul Robinson on winning the Grand Final on Saturday. Year 11 Frankie Johnston received an award from Easts Touch for being the Best and Fairest Player for her Division. I was really impressed with how all the girls played their semi finals and grand finals, everyone gave it their all displaying sportsmanship regardless of the outcome.

The 7A team continued on their winning ways with Gold at the NSW All Schools Beach Touch Championships. The Junior A team finished with Silver on a count back when the weather interrupted play.

National Figure Skater

Year 10 Allison Lee represented Team NSW at the Australian Figure Skating Championship 2025, held in Brisbane on 1 December. Allison placed 4th out of 15 competitors.

It has been a challenging year for figure skaters in NSW due to the lack of local rinks. Throughout this period, Allison showed strong perseverance, managing many 4.30am starts to train at a rink on the Central Coast.

World Ranked Archer

Felicity Wang placed 9th in the world at  the Recurve Under 13 Women division at the World Archery Indoor World Series – Taipei Archery Open. This division had 48 archers from 8 countries, including five Korean national team members and the Taiwanese national champion team.

This year’s Taipei Archery Open was an exceptionally high-standard event, featuring many world-class archers and Olympic medallists. An San, the Korean archer who won three gold medals at the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games, also competed in this event and shot 599 out of 600, breaking the previous world record. Felicity was thrilled to meet her at the venue and even had the chance to practice alongside her.

Throughout the competition, Felicity chose to wear Kambala’s iconic yellow ribbon. It was her way of motivating herself, as she feels very proud to be a Kambala student. We are very proud of Felicity and her achievements!
