Bidding Farewell to the 2025 School Year
As the year closes, I have been reflecting on how fortunate we are to live in such a beautiful part of the world. Each day our girls can run along the waterfront before breakfast, or pause in the evening to watch the sun set across the bay and slip behind the Harbour Bridge. These moments remind us of the unique environment our boarders call home and the special experiences that shape their time at Kambala.
As we approach the end-of-year festivities, the Boarding House has been filled with excitement and a wonderful sense of community. The house was beautifully decorated by our Year 7 and Year 8 boarders, adding a cheerful and festive spirit. On Monday, 1 December, we gathered for our Boarding Christmas Dinner, welcoming invited guests from across the school. The following evening, our boarders joined the wider Kambala community for the traditional Nine Lessons and Carols service at St Andrew’s in the city.
Our celebrations concluded on Wednesday, 10 December, with our annual Speech Day, marking the culmination of the school year and providing an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and growth of our students.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the families of our boarders for trusting us with the care of your daughters. It is an honour to support them throughout the year, and their energy, spirit, and kindness continue to enrich our boarding community.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are delighted that the Boarding House will be full. We are excited to welcome a number of new girls to the House, and among them are three sisters of current boarders, increasing our sister sets to five.
As the year draws to a close, I wish all our families a joyful, restful, and safe festive season. May the holidays bring you time with loved ones, moments of peace, and a chance to recharge. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year.
Warmest season’s greetings.

Kambala Boarders Spread Christmas Cheer on Bondi Junction Outing
Our Kambala boarders embraced the festive with a joyful outing to Bondi Junction for Christmas shopping and a movie afternoon. The girls spent time browsing the shops, selecting thoughtful Secret Santa gifts for one another, and enjoying the buzz of the Christmas season.
After shopping, the group split into two cinema choices. Those who attended Wicked: For Good were treated to an emotional and uplifting experience—singing along, laughing, and even shedding a few happy tears as they immersed themselves in the beloved story. Meanwhile, the Zootopia 2 crowd enjoyed a fun, energetic film full of colour, humour, and adventure, perfect for a relaxed afternoon with their fellow boarding sisters.
The girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves, returning to the boarding house with big smiles, full shopping bags, and plenty of festive cheer.
