Maths on the Move

The Prep Students Have Taken Their Maths Lessons To The Streets of Rowville!
Session 3 of Maths On The Move in Prep
A few weeks ago the Prep students walked to Wellington Road, gathering statistics about cars. We recorded the information in a simple table and talked about our discoveries when we got back into the classroom. We used words like ‘more than’, ‘least popular’, ‘tally marks’ and ‘most popular’. Our Maths On The Move Reporters loved sharing their mathematical findings, who knew that there were some many white coloured cars!
This was our last session of Maths On The Move with the Prep students for the year. Over the last three sessions, the Prep students worked in small groups alongside their teacher, the School Maths Leader and our wonderful families.
A huge thank you to all the families who joined us for Maths On The Move this year. The students were so excited to be learning alongside you. The Prep teachers and I were so overwhelmed and grateful with the large number of families that came along and joined in the fun with our one of a kind Maths Program!
