Bridging Now to Next

National Reconciliation Week Mass and FIRE Carrier Commissioning Invitation

 

Families and members of our college community are invited to our National Reconciliation Week College Mass next Thursday, 29th May, at 11.30am in the Brigidine Centre.

 

The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2025 is Bridging Now to Next.

 

Our new Fire Carriers will be commissioned during Mass and we are delighted to be welcoming Uncle Rick, special guests and our school community to celebrate with us.

La Trobe University Aspire Community Contribution Program

The Aspire Community Contribution Program rewards involvement in the community, leadership and volunteering with an early conditional offer into a chosen course at La Trobe University.

 

Elicia Thomson, Student Recruitment Officer, La Trobe University Shepparton Campus, will be visiting St Augustine's College on Tuesday 27th May, to provide information about the program and to assist students who would like to submit an application. 

 

Current Year 12 students interested in submitting an application for the program are invited to attend MR1 at lunchtime on Tuesday 27th May.

Important Update to Bus Notification

Please note the following change regarding school bus availability.

 

School buses WILL run on Friday 13th June.

 

Due to a student free day at Kyabram P-12 College, buses will run directly to and from St Augustine's and will not stop at P-12 College on the day.

Senior Secondary Pathway Information Evening 

Our Senior Secondary Pathway and Subject Selection information session will be held on Wednesday 4th June at 6.00pm in the Brigidine Centre. 

 

All Years 8, 9 and 10 students and their families/caregivers are invited to attend this session, where the various pathways - VCE, VCE VM, VET and subjects - 9/10 Electives and VCE subjects, and the subject selection process will be outlined.

 

Current Year 11 students and families are welcome to attend, however the emphasis of the evening will be on subject selection and pathways for Years 9-11 in 2026.

 

Students and parents/caregivers will have the opportunity to meet and speak with our Learning Leaders across all subject areas and VET providers from across the district. 

 

Last year’s event was a great success, with over 200 9-12 Community members in attendance. We encourage all students and families to attend this event to take advantage of the opportunity to discuss pathways and subjects as they enter the 2026 subject selection phase.

2025 GAT Information for Students

Shrek The Musical JR. – Save the Dates

Performances of our upcoming school production of Shrek the Musical JR. will be held on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th September. Tickets will be available very soon, so please keep an eye out for more information coming your way.

 

Rehearsals are well underway, and our talented students have been working incredibly hard to bring this magical story to life.  We can’t wait to share this fun-filled production with our school community. It’s going to be ogre-the-top!
