All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Congratulations to our Year 4 students who received their First Eucharist last Sunday.  It was a wonderful celebration, the students all looked beautiful and were very rerverent when receiving the Body of Christ.

May it be only the first of many more occasions where the students partake in the Eucharist as they are nourished to be disciples of Christ and bring the Good News to all they encounter.

May God bless these wonderful children and always keep them close to His heart.

The Prep area was a hive of activity today as the Prep students invited their grandparents or special friends to school this morning. After working on some activities together, browsing through the Book Fair (grandparents love spoiling their grandkids!) and exploring our amazing school, we concluded the morning with a lovely prayer service honouring our grandparents and special friends.

There were afew tears in the grandparents' eyes listening to the prayers, looking at the pictures the children drew of their grandparents and finally listening to the action song 'You're My VIP.'

Grandparents  definitely make a very special contribution to our lives and we are so grateful for the gifts of love, life and faith they have given us.

Let us pray a special blessing for all grandparents:

Loving God,

Please bless all grandparents and special friends in the lives of our children. Those whose love and company we can still enjoy, those who love us from afar, and those who have gone to be with you.

We thank you for the life they have given and for the life they give to us.

May their presence be a sign of God’s love for their grandchildren. We pray that the memories they share help be a source of love and connection.

We pray this through Christ our Lord

Amen
