Good afternoon families,
I hope you all had a good week and enjoyed the frosty mornings. It was lovely to see the white crackling grass glistening in the sun as we walked to and from OSHC.
Grandparents Morning
Thank you to the prep teachers for organising such a wonderful grandparents/ special friends morning. It is such a special event on our school calendar and the sense of community was huge.
First Communion
Thank you to Father Andrew and Father Wuy, Mrs Douglas and the Year 4 teachers for the beautiful first Communion celebration we had with our Year 4 students, families, teachers and Leadership team members at St Brigid’s last Sunday.
MACS Inspired to Lead program
Congratulations to Mrs Emma Davies who has been successful in being chosen to go toIreland on a pilgrimage in September.
School Advisory Council meeting (SAC)
On Thursday night we had a SAC meeting and discussed the progress of the MACSEYE OSHC and how we can continue to support our families. Enrolments for 2026 are very strong and we will be making a first intake offer to those who have put in their enrolment forms at the end of May. The second intake will be offered a position at the end of July.
Grazing was on the agenda from a parent. The school stopped ‘fruit break’ at the beginning of 2021. Students now can graze on fruit (strawberries, grapes, etc) crackers, cheese blocks etc. All students then have 10 minutes to eat their lunch at 10.45 am and they areencouraged to eat their sandwich, roll, wrap. Another 10 minutes at 1.35pm is given to thestudents to eat their snacks. Grazing can also happen throughout the day.
Correct Winter Uniforms.
Just a reminder of the winter uniform. Skorts cannot be worn other than for PE. Hoodies cannot be worn however a jacket can be worn, to and from school and out on the playground. Beanies can be worn to and from school, on the playground but not in the classroom. We have St Louis’ beanies available in the uniform shop. PE shorts must be St Louis’ sports shorts and cannot be shorter than the rugby tops. St Louis’ school bags are compulsory. I really appreciate your support in helping our students wear the correct uniform and be proud of their school.
Enjoy your weekend
