How exciting for us to have a student from AUSTRIA visit us for a few weeks.  We have been spending some time playing games and helping Linda feel welcome at St Joseph's.  

 

 

 

Wellbeing

 

Our Year One-Two class has been learning all about being social detectives—recognizing their own and others' feelings, expressing how they feel, and asking for what they need. These are tricky skills that take time and lots of practise, so we make sure to revisit them regularly. By learning and practising calming strategies, students are better prepared to manage big emotions when they feel upset. Everyone has been trying their very best, and we're proud to see them using "bucket filling" to spread kindness throughout the school.

What can I say, we love doing this work.  We are learning about how important it is to be accurate when we measure and how to make sure we check our work too.  And we had great fun finding out if our hands were bigger or smaller than Miss Smith's!  Have a look at the photos to see what we've been up to...
