3/4's Mad About Science Incursion

On Tuesday, our 3/4 classes engaged in a fun hands-on incursion that turned our kids into scientist to practically examine sustability.  

The Students learnt about;

1. Temperature Changes - Global warming and heat being trapped in our atmosphere.

2. Protecting Plant Life: water, sunlight, carbon dioxide, a place to grow

3. Biodegradable: reduce our use of plastics and use more biodegradable products like corn packaging nuts.

4. Coral Bleaching:  We did hands on experiment to mimic how carbon dioxide can kill corals in the ocean.

5. Producing Clean Electricity: different ways to produce electricity- light energy (solar energy), wind and hydro-energy.
