Prep-2, Strong, stable and balance

Students in Prep to year 2 have been learning about sculptures with Nicole.  Students used textas to color on paper with different patterns to create a textured look.  Spraying the coloured paper with water created a watercolour effect.  While these dried they moved onto the next element of their sculputures creating a base with clay and a caterpillar using air drying clay.  These needed to dry out over a week so we could paint them.  We turned our watercoloured paper in to butterflies using pipcleaners and consertina folded the paper.  To create the illusion of flying our butterflies where suspended using strong wire.  

Finished sculputres are on display in their locker room area.
