Crisp cool air. Frost on the astroturf. We are now deep into our annual athletics season...

And what a season it has been! Monster jumps, enormous throws, huge puts. Possibly one for the record books.

But why? What has been different this year to those previous?

For our Year 5 and 6 students we have introduced a new element to our athletics work: Technology in Sport.

The way this works is quite simple; students bring their iPads to PE, they record themselves working through the athletics discipline for the week - be it Triple Jump, Hurdles or High Jump - then they review the footage to give themselves immediate visual movement feedback before their big measured effort.

So, what do you think...is this why we are seeing such extraordinary results in 2025?
