In 2023, Marian Catholic College experienced another year of outstanding growth. Once again, time has swiftly passed, filled with a plethora of academic accomplishments, triumphs in sports, cultural pursuits, and, naturally, individual instances of success and setback. This period has been marked by substantial transformations, commencing with the commencement of the year, which featured a new cohort achieving remarkable HSC results and a series of events that underscored the unwavering commitment of both staff and students to all facets of College life. As we reached the midpoint, we celebrated our students' accomplishments in various award ceremonies, and we are concluding the year with every individual having undergone moments of triumph and challenge, ultimately evolving as individuals who have made distinctive contributions to the MCC community.

Our new buildings have been an amazing addition to our College with our staff and students enjoying the amazing facilities that have been purposefully designed for their use. The opening of the building took place at the beginning of the year and we are extremely proud of the ongoing enhancement of facilities which compliment all of the learning and extracurricular activities that take place everyday.

The leadership team has continued to work closely together to ensure that all College initiatives have been meaningful and engaging with a clear focus on the Learning, Pastoral and Faith. This year we welcome our new College Principal Dr Penny Ludicke, who has added a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our leadership team. Together we have implemented a clear strategic direction for the College to continue growing and evolving to best support the needs of our students and families.

As always, the most rewarding part of College life is to watch our students grow and strive to reach their full potential. Students have had opportunities to thrive in the classroom, on the sporting field, on stage, in the community and within the Church. This has allowed them to really harness their areas of strength and passion. It is also a proud moment when we see our students living the ‘Marian Way’ as they interact in the playground, classes and College social events in a positive and kind way, these skills will hold them in good stead and ensure they are ready to enter the world as positive global citizens.

Finally, I thank our students and families for their ongoing support of the College. It is essential that we all work together to fulfil our College Vision to ensure that our College is focussed upon providing excellence in learning, the development of a deep faith, a commitment to care and service and a desire to become active stewards for the world around us. We look forward to another successful year in 2024 were we will continue to celebrate and live our motto ‘the Way, the Truth and the Life’
