Last week we had a bit of fun with paper art. We explored different ways to change paper and looked to the famous artist Henri Matisse for inspiration. I was amazed at what the children created. Children have such beautiful imaginations and often thrive when engaging in art activities.
When I connected this with God and the bible, I thought about God’s imagination. God has created SO MANY amazingly beautiful things and continues to do this. It blew my mind to think about what God has created. People, animals, plants, Earth, the universe… the list goes on. Creation itself is the most incredible artwork ever created. The human body is an amazing creation. God created humans to be wonderfully unique with their own set of skills, thoughts and imaginations. God is the source of creativity.
“And he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills – to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,”
Exodus 35: 31-33
Dear God,
I thank you for the gift of life. I thank you for creating us in your image and thinking about all of the little details to help us thrive. I pray that you continue to bless our school community and help anyone in need.
