Prep AK - Learning
As part of our Religious Education learning, we have begun investigating stories from the Bible that demonstrate friendship and fairness.
We looked at an artwork, inspired by the Bible story where Jesus performs a miracle, enabling a blind man to see. We shared our ideas about how we use our sense of sight every day, listing parts of our daily routine that would be extremely difficult without the ability to see. First, the students drew a face on a piece of paper. Next, they were given a blindfold and challenged to draw a second picture. We discovered that it is really difficult to draw without being able to see!!!
We read the book, "The Black Book of Colours" and discovered that some people use Braille to read. The students were then challenged to create their name, using 3D stickers and the Braille alphabet.
