It is just so wonderful to see our Year 1/2MB students as they engage in their morning daily reading. They independently record their reading in their journals and share their love of reading and learning with each other.
Next week on Monday, we will be celebrating Book Week.

You may have heard that there was a NAPLAN media release during the week. The National Report was released with key highlights regarding how students across the country performed in NAPLAN this year. Whilst this preliminary information has been released to the media, schools have not as yet received the National and State data. We have been notified that this will be released shortly. When we have this data we will share it with our school community.
In Prep this week, the students were inspired by the Bible story where Jesus performs a miracle, enabling a blind man to see. They were encouraged to share ideas about how they use their sense of sight every day and they were challenged to draw without being able to see. They also created their names using braille, which are raised dots on a surface which makes it easy for blind people to read. The children realised how fortunate they are to have the sense of sight given to us by God.
This week our Year 5/6 students attended the Xavier College Dress Rehearsal for their school production of Monty Python's Spamalot Young@Part. It was wonderful to see one of our past students in the production!
This week 3/4VA enjoyed the Children's Book Council of Australia's (CBCA) shortlisted book 'Gymnastica Fantastica' and brought this book to life as they created an array of gymnastics activities in the MPR! It looks like they had a lot of fun!
If at any time you would like to chat about the learning at Trinity, or you have any questions or concerns about your child's learning, please do not hesitate to see your child's teacher, or myself.
