Message from the Principal

St Peter’s School - an empowered faith community to enrich the world.

Dear Families,

Welcome to Week 5 of Term 3!

Half way through the term! Who can believe it- time is really flying! I have been enjoying the lighter mornings and the warmer weather. Both generate such positivity of spirit.

I urge you to read the Learning Diversity and Wellbeing page of this newsletter. Ms Tash is sharing some important information regarding the development of our Positive Behaviour for Learning content. Each week we have a strong focus, with explicit teaching of the relevant value and modelling of what this looks like, sounds like and feels like. We ask that you reinforce this at home- the more the consistent language is used across all settings, the easier it is for students to embed it into their every day actions.

Short Parent Survey

We are gathering feedback from parents on what makes St Peter's special for you and your child. Your feedback helps us celebrate our community and grow together. Please take five minutes to complete this short survey: https://forms.gle/hT29wvHMKjbyLMNAA

Personal Belongings at School

The school is well-resourced with sports equipment. We ask that students do not bring their own balls to school to use during recess and lunch. This ownership of an item can cause issues on the playground, such as  "This is my ball, and I don't want you to play with it". We thank you for reinforcing this at home.

Celebrating Achievements

Read our PE and Sport page to hear about some excellent achievements by our Athletics squad. Channelling their Olympic spirit, they produced some inspired performances with personal bests galore!!

Thanks to Ms Tash for developing a fantastic Sports program at St Peter's with our students being provided with many opportunities to develop their skills across a variety of sports.

Book Week Celebrations

We are looking forward to celebrating Book Week next week. We will begin the week on Monday, 19 August, at 9:00 am with a parade of each class showing their imaginative costumes based on the theme 'Reading is Magic'. We will also be hosting a book swap on Wednesday. Information regarding this has been sent home via email.

Save the date

We will be celebrating Special Person's Day on Friday, October 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. Our wonderful P&F will be providing afternoon tea, so please put this date in your diary.

I hope that everyone has a great week.
