Acting Principal's Report

Survey Reminders

As a Principal, I value feedback from all the important people in a school community – students, parents and staff. Students completed the Attitudes to School Survey in May. School staff have recently completed the Staff Opinion Survey, the data of which will be available later this year. The Parent Opinion Survey is open for one more week, so I want to encourage as many of you as possible to provide your opinion. Parent opinions and feedback are extremely important to school improvement. By providing your opinion, you help us to develop our school in a way that is wanted, appreciated and needed.

There are two surveys we are asking you to complete at the moment. We appreciate your time and know this is a big ask. If you get a chance over the weekend, please make a cuppa, find a comfy spot in the sunshine, and tell us what you think! More info about each survey below. Thank you to all who have already completed these surveys.

  • Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey - offered by the Department of Education, is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement.
  • BHNPS Community Survey - a school-based survey to find out what our school can do to improve how we communicate

Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey

Thank you to the parents and carers who have already completed the Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey. The survey is open until 30th August, and we are hoping to have as many parents complete the survey as possible. If you have the chance today, or over the weekend, please take some time to tell us what you think about Box Hill North PS.

Book Week

Book Week is always my favourite week of the school year – as a lifelong bookworm myself, I just love seeing the whole school come together to celebrate their love of reading. Well done to all the students and staff who dressed up as their favourite literary character today! Thank you to all the parents who managed to get into classrooms this morning to share their own love of reading with their children, and their children’s classmates!

Spring is Almost Here – Hats are back!!

After what has felt like a long and cold Winter, we are only one week away from the start of Spring! This means the flowers will bloom, the Sun will be around more often (and for longer each day) and that means the UV ratings will also increase each day. Students will be required to wear hats when outside from Monday 2nd September. Thank you for your cooperation!
