Werte Class 7 Families,

Class 7 are productively busy…

They are currently working with Class 8 on The Age of Revolutions Main Lesson where: The study of people who have selflessly worked and sacrificed for others, or who have brought about change through courage, persistence or innovative thought, inspires the young person to strive towards great possibilities, to find and to stand for their true ideals.  Through investigating, questioning and communicating the students develop a sense of confident self-knowledge. (ASCF History 8.1)

Classes 7 & 8 are the Spring Festival Bush Dance Band! Our morning routine now includes music practice as we learn the songs the Primary students will dance to. Don’t forget to mark your diaries and dust off your dancing boots for Thursday 19th September Bush Dance.

Of course, canteen is up and running again with our popular Vege Nachos. Class 7 take orders, juggle catering amounts, cook, serve and clean up afterwards.

This week also found Class 7 working with Class 1 students designing and maintaining the garden and path borders in the Class 1 and Learning Support areas. It proved to be a great way to help our young teenage students engage with the younger children and remember how far a little kindness can go.

Our next Main Lesson returns us to the Renaissance Period as we work towards our production of Shakespeare’s A Mid Summer Night’s Dream. This is will be a collaborative exercise with Class 8. The date is yet to be confirmed, but will be in the last week of term. We will keep you posted.
