HPS SENIOR RECORDER ENSEMBLE at RECORDARAMA…
On Monday 12 August 2024, HPS Senior Recorder Ensemble members participated in the Primary Age Recorder Ensemble event at RECORDARAMA, an eisteddfod just for recorders held at MLC in Kew. Listening to recorder ensembles from other schools and performing for them, in an audience including our own families, made this a truly worthwhile celebration of music making. It was inspiring to hear play with such good tone and tuning, thanks to their preparations beforehand and to everyone trying their very best on the night.
Congratulations to our ensemble players for representing Heidelberg Primary so well at this event, and to the winners of the first-place trophy, Carlton North PS. Sincere thanks to everyone who supported us in the lead-up to this performance, not least on the day – especially to parents and families!

Student Climate Survey
The Victorian Department of Education is inviting students in years 4 to 12 to take part in the Student Climate Survey.
This is an optional survey to understand what these students think and know about climate change, and how they prefer to learn about it.
The department hopes to use survey findings to better tailor teaching and learning resources for schools.
There are 14 questions in the survey and all responses are anonymous. Students will need consent from a parent or carer to take part.
The survey closes at the end of Term 3, at 5pm on Friday 20 September 2024. To take part in the survey, students should refer to Student Climate Survey.
