We are learning to synthesise with a fiction text. 

VOCABULARY

Synthesise: To take what you know (your schema) and put it together with new knowledge in order to re-evaluate your thinking.

Fiction: Literature created from the imagination, not presented as fact, though it may be based on a true story or situation

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Ask your child to create a Venn diagram comparing the features of a fiction and                   non-fiction text. Talk to them about the similarities and the differences.
