Well, what a wild and windy week it has been! 

With the passing of the NDIS Amendment Bill 2024 through Federal Parliament there will be some changes that come into effect from mid-to-late September and other changes that will not be implemented until mid-next year. 

Until then, the NDIA has advised that: 

• all access and planning processes, decisions and supports will continue in line with current operational guidance. 
• participants should continue spending in accordance with their plans and existing operational guidance. 
• providers should continue to claim for supports in line with current operational guidance. 

There will be no changes to packages until next year. 

More information about the amendments is available on the NDIS website. The Summary of legislative changes table is particularly helpful. The website will be updated in the coming weeks to further explain what the changes mean and when they will come into effect.
