On Thursday 29 August Bishop Tony visited our Grade 6 students in preparation for their Confirmation. Each student shared a little bit about themselves, the saint they have chosen for their Confirmation name and the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit that their saint displayed through their life.

Our Prep students have been working with their class teachers in the lead up to their class prayer service practicing prayers, songs and reflecting on the theme 'Community Connections'. These prayer services are a wonderful opportunity for our families to come and share in and experience prayer at OLA. All families are welcome.
Next Wednesday 11 September at 9am, PCH will lead their prayer service in their classroom for their teachers and families. We look forward to PEJ’s prayer service on Wednesday 18 September.
Each year from September 1 to October 4, the Christian family unites for this
worldwide celebration of prayer and action to protect our common home. It is a special season where we celebrate God as Creator and acknowledge Creation as the divine continuing act that summons us as collaborators to love and care
for the gift of all that is created. As followers of Christ from around the globe, we share a common call to care for Creation. We are co-creatures and part of all that God has made. Our well-being is interwoven with the well-being of the Earth.
Last month, Tony and Margaret from the parish’s ‘Care for Our Common Home’ group partnered with some of our Arts and Culture Leaders and Grade 6 students to create a beautiful banner for the church, to be displayed during the Season of Creation. This banner serves as a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility to care for the Earth and all its inhabitants.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mrs Berley for leading this meaningful project and for her dedication in guiding the Grade 6 students. We would also like to commend Alice W, Alana I, Mia Mc, Isabelle M, Demi K, and Indie O for their creativity and hard work in bringing this project to life. Their collaboration and commitment are truly inspiring, and their banner will surely enhance our church’s celebration of this important season.
