Secondary Book Club

In Term 3 Christway College held its second book club event which focussed on the book, The Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis. The book club participants read the classic collection of letters found in the selected text and analysed the book's themes as a group. A meeting was held near the end of the term which allowed participants to read at their own pace.

The Screwtape Letters provided a depth of wisdom accessible to students across the Secondary school and had a profound impact on both students and teachers. Each member brought a unique perspective which enriched the group discussion. The meeting was held after the participants had completed the reading and as a result, the discussion explored the reading experience. Being involved in the group, reading the book and being able to learn from the perspectives of others was deeply rewarding and valuable.

Christway's book club was an excellent way to connect avid readers across the Secondary school and staff members.
